Indian Cultural Association of Central Jersey is one of the pioneering cultural organization in the tri-state area. Established in 1982, the Association caters to the growing needs of the Asian Indian community in cultural, educational and community service areas.

Dedicated to the goal of preserving, promoting and enhancing an understanding of Indian culture and its values among our children and other communities, this Association has grown to become one of the foremost organizations of its kind and represents six hundred families today.

Since 1982, the Association has encouraged and traiend literally thousands of children inthe fine art of Indian folk dances, music, and other cultural activities. Many of these children have won trophies and awards of excellence at various national events. The Association holds about twelve major cultural, educational, and recreational events in the central New Jersey area every year and has provided opportunities to children and adults to achieve leadership qualities, group participation, and artistic expression.

We take pride in the fct over the past several years, we have provided over $250,000 in educational scholarships to more than 500 high school graduates and college students to promote high education.

Our Association has undertaken fund raising activities to help the victims of several natural calamities. We raised and distributed $94,000 for the Gujarat earthquake disaster in 2001 and close to $20,000 for the Tsunami victims in 2005.

Our goal is to continue our tradition and provide more activities of interest for our children and senior citizens of our community and programs for health education on topics of increasing concern such as stress management, heart problems, hypertension, and diabetes.

Voluntary participation is the hallmark of our Association. We value honesty, integrity, dedication and commitment. Accountability and responsibility are our watchwords and our tradition. Recognizing and meeting the cultural and educational needs of our children and the community is our direction.

Let noble thoughts come to us from all directions
